Plastic kills

Plastic tips and facts.

In the UK we only recycle 45% of our plastic. Most of the stuff that isn’t recycled will go into the ocean, it can trap turtles, scar whales or even get eaten by a bird. Day by day we are killing are planet and the animal that live upon it. In Sweden they recycle over 90% of their plastic. Why can't we recycle like that?

Why not check out this website and see how many plastic bottle are being purchased.

5 ways to help recycle round the house

Why not try paper straws instead of plastic straws
Create useful tools out of unwanted single use plastic
Pack all the non-recyclable things like crisp packets into a bottle and bash it down to make an eco brick
Reuse plastic bottles
Refuse non-recyclable plastics at the supermarkets

This has been affecting the world for a long time but only got noticed when David Attenborough spoke about Blue planet 2.

A bird has been killed as plastic caps have floated inside the stomach and has interrupted the bird’s stomach causing it to die.

Usually we don't think about what happens when we put waste into a bin but what happens after is shocking. Only 10% of us actually recycle and when we put the wrong things in the wrong bin it could potentially cause the death of many animals. 267 marine animal had suffered this year as we have put our waste  into the wrong bin and the plastic had been filtered into the sea. #PLASTICKILLS
